Imran Khan's Political Mistakes

Introduction

Imran Khan got an excellent opportunity in 2018 to change the political and economic conditions of Pakistan but unfortunately, he couldn't capitalize on that. The people of Pakistan provided Imran Khan an excellent opportunity to change their fate once and for all but he kept on compromises and as a result IK was thrown out of the power corridors. Now the question arises here what political mistakes did Imran Khan make that cost heavily not only him but the people of Pakistan as well. Before answering the question, let's try to understand its background first.

Background

Pakistan has remained in severe crises since emerging on the map of the world in 1947. Opportunists whether politicians, bureaucrats, military generals, so-called religious scholars, and judges have always weakened the very roots of Pakistan just for their personal gains. They have been blackmailing the people of Pakistan through different slogans which they have never believed in.

Similarly, instead of strengthening and building Pakistan, they built their assets and increased wealth live a luxurious life, and have complete control of the day-to-day managing affairs of the country. They have been doing all this quite convincingly and without any kind of hindrances.

Additionally, these powerful elites have a very strong nexus when it comes to looting and grabbing the assets of the people of Pakistan. Whenever the people of Pakistan try to hold them accountable and ask some questions, they try to hide behind institutions and successfully avoid accountability.

As a result of all this, the people of Pakistan have been deprived of their fundamental rights. They don't even have the right to elect their rulers whom they held accountable that why Pakistan is still in severe crisis even after 75 years. It is the military establishment ( military generals) that has the ultimate power including a nursery of puppet politicians who safeguard their personal rights after coming into power.

Let's now come back to the actual question and try to find out a detailed answer that what political mistakes did Imran Khan make even after getting an excellent opportunity in 2018. In the end, we'll try to find out another answer that is there any chance for Imran Khan to come into power again and change the fate and future of the people of Pakistan.

What Political Mistakes did Imran Khan Make?

1. The first and foremost mistake that IK made was compromising his authority and power including playing at the hands of the military establishment, particularly in the hands of general Bajwa. He couldn't understand that the military establishment was just using him for their personal gains as Bajwa had nothing to do with the people of Pakistan.

2. The second mistake that IK made was not punishing the corrupt Sicilian mafia of Pakistan including politicians, bureaucrats, military generals, and judges. Similarly, he couldn't introduce a meritorious and justice-based system in the country. on the other hand, he compromised with some culprits and corrupt media tycoons as well who later on set the ground to topple his government and ultimately put Pakistan into severe crisis once again.

3. The third mistake which IK made was avoiding the beginning of a revolution on the night of 10th April. Imran Khan couldn't realize the opportunity that the people of Pakistan provided him by coming out of their homes to support him. Probably, IK was of the opinion that innocent citizens' blood would be shed if he leads the protesting citizens. However, he never knew that there will be a huge crisis in terms of all times record high 28% inflation in the country.

4. The fourth mistake that IK made was resigning from the National Assembly of Pakistan and providing free ground to the most corrupt political elites of Pakistan. By doing so he actually provided them another opportunity to further loot the resources of the people of Pakistan. As a result, Pakistan's reserves have fallen down from $22 billion to just $6 billion within 8 months only. Not only that but up to 50 million corruption has now become legal in Pakistan.

5. The fifth and final mistake that IK has made is canceling the long march to Islamabad. He is still unable to realize that nothing positive will happen in the interest of the people of Pakistan until and unless there is a severe reaction from the people of Pakistan. Today more than 120 million people in Pakistan live below the poverty line but nobody cares. This is a severe crisis and an alarming situation but IK is not understanding this critical situation.

Conclusion

Imran Khan needs to understand that the corrupt elite including politicians, bureaucrats, military generals, media houses, and judges have a very strong nexus to secure their illegal wealth which they have generated by looting the resources of Pakistan and its people. Therefore, they would never ever let IK come into power again rather they will try everything possible including creating havoc in the country.

On the other hand, IK needs to understand that no nay foreign country can harm Pakistan until and unless the powerful people from Pakistan offer their support. Similarly, Pakistan can't progress and come out of the crisis until and unless the most powerful but corrupt individuals including military generals, judges, politicians, and bureaucrats are held accountable and punished severely.
