AMERICA & ISRAEL NEXUS IN THE MIDDLE EAST CONTEXT: HOPES & HURDLES

America & Israel Hegemony for Middle East

USA and Israel Nexus

Introduction:

The relationship between the United States and Israel has been a significant factor in Middle East politics for decades.

America has the vested interests in oil-rich region of the Middle East. Whereas, Israel has been trying hard to occupy Palestinian land and establish the Zionist country.

On the other hand, China and Russia have now realized that in order to break American hegemony over the world's political dynamics,  they require viable support and cooperation of the Middle East countries including Iran and Pakistan.

In fact, China and Russia want OIC's pivotal role similar to that of EU's role for America. Over 2 billion Muslims and 57 Muslim countries certainly have a very important role in the world politics if they realise the importance of their joint venture.

This critical analysis will delve deep into the dynamics of the America-Israel nexus, examining its hopes and hurdles, while also considering the role of China and Russia in Middle East politics.

Historical Background:

The strong alliance between the U.S. and Israel dates back to the establishment of Israel in 1948. The U.S. has provided consistent diplomatic, military, and financial support to Israel, which has played a crucial role in shaping the geopolitics of the Middle East.

Hopes of the America-Israel Nexus:

1. Security and Stability:

The U.S. sees Israel as a key ally in the volatile Middle East, helping maintain stability in the region. Both nations share common interests in the so called combating terrorism and containing Iran's influence. America wants stabilised Israel in the larger interest of the world power and politics.

2. Shared Democratic Values:

The U.S. and Israel both espouse democratic values, making their partnership a symbol of shared principles in the region. If some important Arab countries accept Israel as a legitimate state, it will certainly help America and Israel to control Middle East politics including controlling Russia's movement.

3. Technological and Economic Cooperation:

The U.S. and Israel have strong economic and technological ties, with Israel often referred to as the "Start-Up Nation." This cooperation fosters innovation and economic growth. America has been providing all sorts of support to Israel in terms of technology and economic stability.

4. Influence over Palestine Issue:

The America-Israel nexus has historically been influential in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with the U.S. playing a pivotal role in brokering peace talks and providing diplomatic cover for Israel.

America has always been openly supporting Israeli invasions over Palestine in the UN Security Council. UN Security Council has drastically been failed in finding a viable solution of Palestine-Israel conflict due to American interference.

In the recent past, America has been diplomatically trying hard to put some pressure over the prominent Middle East countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, and Egypt to accept Israel at state level.

Hurdles of the America-Israel Nexus:

1. Palestine Issue:

While the U.S. sees itself as a mediator, its unequivocal support for Israel has often hindered the peace process. The unresolved Palestinian question remains a significant source of tension in the region.

European Union has also been supporting American policy regarding Israel, however it has raised so many questions regarding human rights and suspicious role of the Western countries.

World is now well aware of the double standards of the EU and UNO. Neglecting and over looking the illegal occupation of the Palestinian land has exposed the double standards of the EU and UNO.

2. Regional Resentment:

The U.S.-Israel alliance has created resentment among other Middle Eastern nations, particularly those with pro-Palestinian stances. This resentment can fuel anti-American sentiment in the region.

Russia and China are well aware about the Palestinian and Israeli conflict. In fact, they consider this issue as a great opportunity to break American hegemony in the region.

In this regard, Iran, Turkey, and Syria can play a very significant role. US establishment is also well aware of all this. They tried to destabilise Tayab Erdogan's rule through a military-coup but miserably failed due to Turkish nation's harsh reaction.

3. Israeli Policies:

The Israeli government's policies, such as settlement expansion in the West Bank, have strained the relationship with the U.S., leading to occasional differences in their interests and priorities.

Israel wants more and more support from the US including economic and diplomatic support. However, Israel's open support has heavily damaged the American image and diplomacy at the international level. US establishment is facing some serious challenges including losing its control over world's politics.

Israel wants complete genocide of the Palestinian people in order to occupy entire land of the Palestinian state. In this regard, Israel wants complete support of US at UN Security Council and other international forums.

China and Russia's Role:

China and Russia have increasingly sought to expand their influence in the Middle East, challenging the traditional dominance of the U.S. in the region. Palestinian conflict and America's open support for Israel have provided an opportunity for Russia and China to occupy the diplomatic space in the Middle East region.

Both Russia and China are well aware about the intentions of the USA, hence they have challenged the American hegemony in the region including supporting Iran.

Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan (only Nuclear Power Muslim country) emerged as a ray of hope for China and Russia but America successfully dethroned him with the help of a betrayal of the then army chief general Bajwa and his political allies.

1. China:

China's growing economic presence, energy investments, and the Belt and Road Initiative have given it leverage in the Middle East. This economic influence has allowed China to establish ties with various regional players, potentially impacting the dynamics of the America-Israel nexus.

China has been maintaining friendly relations with Pakistan including initiating CPEC and supporting Pakistan against India. China wants to see US influence free Pakistan however, it looks not possible at the moment as USA has successfully been influencing Pakistani politics including military establishment.

2. Russia:

Russia's military intervention in Syria has shifted the balance of power in the region. Russia has also been a diplomatic player in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, offering to mediate talks. This has given Russia a more prominent role in Middle East politics.

Russia's invasion over Ukraine has also been creating severe problems for US and EU including changing the political dynamics of the region. As a result of it, economy of the leading European countries has been shaken badly.

Putin has created some serious economic issues for West and USA. Many leading European countries heavily rely on the gas and oil reserves of Russia. Hence, EU countries are facing economic issues by supporting US policies against Russia.

Pakistan's Role

Both Pakistani military establishment and political leaders except Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto and Imran Khan have been remaining directly and indirectly under the influence of USA. Zia-ul-Haq and Musharraf's martial law had also full support of USA establishment.

Both the above named military generals and martial law dictators protected American interests in Afghanistan during 1979 Russian invasion and 2001 American invasion.

In the 1970s era, ZA Bhutto alongwith Shah Faisal, Sadam, Colonel Gaddafi, Jamal Nasir, and other prominent Muslim leaders of the time tried to built their own socio, economic, and political platform, they were all either killed or dethroned by US establishment.

Imran Khan also tried the same thing. He decided to went against US policy including trying to build strong relations with Russia and China. As a result, he lost his government through Pakistani military's intervention. Right now, Khan is behind the bars and facing severe consequences due to challenging American influence on Pakistani politics and power corridors.

Pakistan's corrupt and so called political leaders including military generals, and civil bureaucracy have illegal assets outside Pakistan. America has been using this weakness of the Pakistani ruling elites quite successfully.

Similarly, around 70% of the Pakistani bureaucrats, judges, and military generals hold American and European nationality. Hence, they are serving American and Western interests instead of Pakistan's interests.

USA knows that Pakistan has remained under the influence of Saudi Arabia over the past several decades. Therefore, at times, USA has been successfully intervening in the formation of the government setup through Saudi Arabia.

Conclusion:

The America-Israel nexus is a complex and influential aspect of Middle East politics. It holds hopes of stability, shared values, and technological cooperation but faces hurdles in the form of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and regional resentment.

The roles of China and Russia in the Middle East further complicate this landscape. The future of this alliance and its impact on the region will continue to evolve as geopolitics shift.

Pakistan being a nuclear power Muslim state can play a very significant role with the help of China and Russia including breaking American hegemony. However, in the current scenario it looks impossible due to above mentioned reasons.

American and Israeli nexus is moving towards a new international conflict which will have severe consequences on the world's socio-economic background, peace,  and prosperity.

Numeracy and Measurement: Dimensional analysis, unit conversions, and approximation

Numeracy and Measurement in Quantitative Reasoning - I In the context of the  Quantitative Reasoning (QR) course, numeracy and measurement are treated as the " literacy of numbers ."  It is less about high-level abstract Maths and more about the practical application of logic to real-world data, quantitative research and daily life. In the context of Quantitative Research in Education , these concepts move from simple arithmetic values to the rigorous architecture of a study. They ensure that the data you collect, whether it's test scores, classroom time, or pedagogical approaches, is valid, comparable, and logically sound. 1. Numeracy: The Foundation of Data Interpretation In educational research, numeracy is the ability to interpret numerical data to make " data-driven decisions ." It involves moving beyond the simple calculation to the inference . Standardised Benchmarks: A researcher must understand that a "60 marks" on a job-level written test ...
