LAVISHING YOUTH; A VILLAGE LIFE

Lavishing Youth: A Poem on Village Life

Lavishing Youth

Introductory Note

Lavishing Youth; a village life (poem) is based on the five stanzas. In this poem, I have reflected on my personal experiences that I came across during my youthful life span at my village (Arain, District Shikarpur, Sindh).

Similarly, I have shared my personal experiences and everlasting memories in this poem. Whenever I read this poem, it reminds me of my youth and gets me back to my past life through imagination.

I still remember those unforgettable moments and memories that give me an amazing feeling of compassion and love for my village.

 LAVISHING YOUTH; A VILLAGE LIFE

Wow! The memory of youth is always overwhelming;
Wandering, ambling, sprinting, spoiling & exhaling,
Working in fields, grazing the herds, bathing in wells;
Missing that village life which causes me screams.

Not realizing how slight & meteoric; the lavishing youth is;
Though calm, slow, and simple, yet how supersonic it is,
Seeing the sun setting, birds singing, and south wind blowing;
Awoling buddies, taunting of elders & social gatherings.

Sweaty summer, stony schooling, sitting under shadows;
Exhausted sports, humid nights, and luscious mangoes,
Windy winter, bone fire, jaggery, and butter meal; adorable;
Chine apples, peas, chickpeas, and brassica fields are unforgettable.

Customs, traditions, cultural celebrations, festivals, mythos;
Arts, crafts, embroidery, pottery, carpentry, farming, folk songs,
All was life but the internet of things, yet it was a global village;
Simple but soothing, fresh and friendly, is my lovely village.

Ah! I miss those lovely days, the days of lavishing youth;
I spent them out but I always carry them, it gives me a soothing,
The purity, simplicity, innocence, calmness, chastity, and candor;
I can’t pay you back O! My lovely village Arain for your splendor.

Summary

Through this poem (Lavishing Youth; A Village Life) I have portrayed a picture of real village life. Actually, the beauty of countryside life lies in its true nature, calmness, green, and grassy fields.

Additionally, if you compare rural life with urban life, you will find a huge difference in terms of living, food, and culture. You get fresh and nutritious food here and enjoy the real beauty of nature that you often miss in urban life.

INTRODUCTION TO QUANTITATIVE REASONING COURSE

☀️Introduction to Quantitative Reasoning Course  for B.Ed/BS/BCS/MS/M.Phil Level Students Quantitative Reasoning (QR) also known as quantitative literacy or numeracy, is an ability and an academic skill to use mathematical concepts and procedures.  The literal meaning of the word " Quantitative " is " the discrete or continuous data that is often counted or measured in numerical values ." Whereas, the literal meaning of the word " Reasoning " is " the rational and logical thinking ." QR is a " Habit of Mind " which often involves interpretation of empirical and numerical data, identification of patterns, flow charts, geometrical shapes, and diagrams for identifying real life problems including offering viable solutions.  QR requires logical reasoning and critical thinking to analyse the real life issues and making informed decisions. Undergraduate level learners often require to have some basic knowledge about statistics numeracy, quant...

Numeracy and Measurement: Dimensional analysis, unit conversions, and approximation

Numeracy and Measurement in Quantitative Reasoning - I In the context of the  Quantitative Reasoning (QR) course, numeracy and measurement are treated as the " literacy of numbers ."  It is less about high-level abstract Maths and more about the practical application of logic to real-world data, quantitative research and daily life. In the context of Quantitative Research in Education , these concepts move from simple arithmetic values to the rigorous architecture of a study. They ensure that the data you collect, whether it's test scores, classroom time, or pedagogical approaches, is valid, comparable, and logically sound. 1. Numeracy: The Foundation of Data Interpretation In educational research, numeracy is the ability to interpret numerical data to make " data-driven decisions ." It involves moving beyond the simple calculation to the inference . Standardised Benchmarks: A researcher must understand that a "60 marks" on a job-level written test ...

Important SPSS Tests, Procedures and Purposes

Important SPSS Tests, Procedures & Purposes: A Quantitative Reasoning Course Perspective for Undergraduate Students  SPSS provides a wide range of statistical tests for quantitative research and analysis. It is a popular software used to explore and interpret quantitative data. Many different tests are available, but some of the most common are listed below.  New researchers should familiarise themselves with these important tests before starting their research and analysing results from a quantitative perspective.  While choosing a statistical test in SPSS, consider the number of variables you are analysing, the type of data for each variable (such as Nominal, Ordinal, or Scale ), and whether your data meets the requirements of parametric tests. The following table summarises some common tests in SPSS to help you select the right one for your analysis. Let's now look into these key SPSS tests .
